The name
Growing up, sanskari was the highest compliment you could get. Touch feet. No back-answering. Home before dark.
We were mostly that. Mostly.
The SCAR is the rest of it. Moving countries. Growing up in two cultures at once. Knowing every Bollywood dialogue and still getting the inside jokes here.
SanSCARi is both sides. Proud of where we come from, and not too serious about it.
Why we started
It started with one line at the dinner table: "That could be a T-shirt."
Then we looked around. Desi clothing here meant wedding outfits or tourist-shop slogans. Nothing you'd actually wear on the subway on a Tuesday.
So we made it. One design. Then a few more. Then a friend asked, "Bro, where did you get that?"
200+ orders later, here we are.
What we make
Oversized tees with the words we grew up with. Karma. Sabr. Log kya kahenge?
Every design has a second meaning. If you get it, you get it. If you don't, it still looks good.
